Emily is a graduate of Dr Denison Secondary School. She led Denison to an OFSAA championship in 2013 and was also named to the 2013 YRAA All-Stars. She later became a member of the Laurentian Voyageurs in 2014 where she played for 5 years and was named an OUAA All-Star in 2016. She ended her playing career overseas in Ireland playing professional basketball for the Limerick Celtics from 2019 – 2022.
